The Limp Wrist Round Table is an initiative to build a community that focuses on growing intellectual integrity by discussing, and hopefully practicing, the critical work of radical thinkers. The Limp Wrist Round Table is a solution to my embarrassment of engaging texts from radical thinkers whose oeuvre is one grounded in community, and not individualism, which is to say: I need to make a constant effort in building community with folks who can materialize accountability for one another, create space for healing, and grow into resilience and reliance.
Although I am betraying my cynicism in sharing the texts we are discussing, I am participating in this work for those who are genuinely interested in engaging and practicing the work of radical thinkers. For transparency, sharing my knowledge freely of these subjects is difficult because of my academic experience, and the experience of those who reflect mine. I, like many queer people of color, know what it is like to bring a different and knowledgeable perspective to the classroom, and for that viewpoint to be appropriated, plagiarized, and worse yet, misrepresented. With that said, I will be sharing the texts, but with limited notes.
If you seek to make community with me, then I wish to invite you to contact me for further readings, discussion, or other possibilities.
